NEW CARD DESIGNS
Card is About to Be Better

FFCU has opted to use a traditional horizontal card for its five new card designs for the Premier Checking, Regular Checking, E-Checking, HSA, and Business Checking Cards. In addition, the card is flat printed (no embossed or raised numbers) and has all of your card information, such as name, card number, expiration date, and CVV number, on the back of the card

FAQs

Q: Will I receive a new debit card?
A: In order to minimize expenses, we will not be mass reissuing the new Fremont Federal Credit Union debit cards. Current active debit cards can continue to be used and will be replaced with a card reflecting the new FFCU Debit Card when they expire or if an incident of fraud or a stolen card occurs.

Q: Will my PIN remain the same?
A: We apologize for the inconvenience. We were unable to transfer your ATM/Debit Card PIN number over to our new card provider; as a result, we will need you to call the PIN NOW number at 1-888-886-0083 and enter your existing or if you choose, a new PIN.

Q: Can I keep my current card number?
A: Yes, you will continue to use your current card until it expires or it becomes lost or stolen and a new card needs to be sent to you.

Q: What are the new features of the card?
A: Newly issued Visa Debit Cards will be contactless debit cards, which allow you to tap to pay at many stores. Additionally, you’ll have more control of your card; such as member-enabled features for travel alerts and the ability to freeze & unfreeze your card.

Q: Will the automatic payments or recurring deductions set up on my current card continue to charge to my new card?

A: Yes, your automatic payments will continue to work unless you get a completely new card number. If your card number changes then you will need to update your accounts that use your current debit card for payments (e.g. Apps, online stores, utility billing, streaming services, etc.). A new card comes with a new card number, expiration date, and 3-digit security code on the back, so you’ll need to update your billing details.

Q: Can I still use the Mobile Wallet?
A: Yes, however, when you do receive a new card number you will need to add your new card once activated to your Mobile Wallet and remove the old card.

Q: If I have a Fremont Federal CU Credit Card will that be replaced, as well?
A: Yes. We will be upgrading our credit card system, as well, coming this April! For more information go to fremontfcu.com/Visa_Platinum_Card_Conversion

Q: Will the direct deposit of my paycheck be impacted?
A: No. Direct deposit of a paycheck, Social Security Income, or retirement funds are sent via Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and not through your Debit Card. Similarly, if you have an automatic payment for a bill or transfer to another account that is set up to come from your savings or checking account versus using the Debit Card number then those payments will continue without any changes or updates required. Only payments that are initiated using your old Debit Card (e.g. PayPal, streaming services like Hulu, or apps like Amazon) will need to be updated with your new Debit Card number.
