Fremont Federal Credit Union in the Community
At Fremont Federal Credit Union, we know that YOU are the reason we are here. Our bottom line is not about profits, it’s about people. Our tagline is “Committed to Excellence”. To us, these are not just words that fit nicely under our logo. We strive to put meaning behind those words everyday.
The philosophy of credit unions everywhere is “People Helping People”. We believe that a strong community doesn’t just happen; it comes from people who believe in one another and work to build each other up. Members of our staff and board of directors spend countless hours volunteering in the communities in which we live and work. We help out with many local organizations and offer numerous financial literacy initiatives that benefit our children and our schools.
At Fremont Federal Credit Union, we are concerned with our members’ well being. We offer products and services that make sense to each member. Through free seminars, we strive to educate the community on a wide range of topics. The more you know, the better prepared you are to make sound financial decisions.
One of the original principles for all credit unions is social responsibility. Continuing the ideals and beliefs of cooperative pioneers, FFCU seeks to bring about human and social development. Our vision of social justice extends both to the individual members and to the broader communities within which FFCU and its members reside. Fremont Federal Credit Union continually seeks partnerships with many non-profits, schools, and organizations to offer volunteer services through Fremont Federal.
We are here to help! If we can be of service, please stop into any of our six offices or call us at 419-334-4434.
Community Involvement/Civic Organizations
Many dollars are invested in our community in the form of sponsorships and donations. Our employees and Board members generously donate funding, time, energy and talents to enrich the communities we serve and make them better places to live, work, and raise a family.
Our Board of Directors, management team and staff are involved in many civic organizations that benefit our community and Sandusky County. We are proud to live the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People".
Below is just a sampling of some of the organizations in which we are involved:
- Campfire USA
- Cancer Society of Sandusky County
- Community Christmas
- Exchange Club
- Finances101
- Fremont Soroptimist
- Kiwanis International
- Liberty Center
- Downtown Farmers Market Classic Car Show
- REACH
- Relay for Life
- Rotary International
- Sandusky County Positive People
- Sandusky County Storybook Festival
- United Way of Sandusky County
We often volunteer our time as a group and participate each year in the Community Christmas and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life which is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.
Individually you'll find us chairing booths at local church festivals, attending fundraisers and reverse raffles and generally getting involved wherever service is needed.
